Rachel Pitman Permanent Make Up Specialist

“My initial reason for entering the semi permanent cosmetics industry was due to an unsatisfactory experience I had when first having my eyebrows enhanced in March 2008. This experience was incredibly upsetting but has enabled me to understand how important customer satisfaction is – I provide quality treatment with beautiful results”

Rachel, Permanent Cosmetic Make Up Specialist.

Rachel has trained with Nouveau Contour, the industry leaders in semi permanent cosmetics. The techniques and theories taught by Nouveau Contour surpass those on any other training, and have enabled Rachel to give high quality treatments to meet her client’s needs.  Every client is treated individually, and every aspect of their features are taken into consideration when enhancing their attributes, allowing the results to be as subtle or dramatic as requested. She uses her accumulated expertise to create a look that is natural and aesthetically beautiful.

Prior to her permanent make-up training, Rachel studied Fine Art.  She is an extremely skilled artist with an innate understanding of aesthetics and colour theory; she is able to apply this imperative experience and knowledge to deliver excellent results.

Many semi permanent make up technicians have a background in the beauty industry. This is where Rachel has the edge over every permanent cosmetic practitioner in the UK. Having painted and drawn all her life, she studied Fine Art at College and accomplished across the board Distinctions opening the door for her to successfully attain a Bachelor of Honours in Fine Art at University.

Beautician vs Artist

Rachel has always been a traditionalist. Painting and drawing have been a constant part of Rachel’s life and she finds having the mentality of an “artist” invaluable to her work. Fine Art is a varied and intense subject, with contemporary art consisting of a broad range of practices in an eclectic variation of mediums. Rachel has spent countless hours studying the human form, perfecting proportion and scale, dissecting the multi faceted nature of skin tone, observing life models and ultimately challenging paint to represent flesh.

She has excellent hand eye coordination and a natural understanding of colour theory, ensuring her clients receive the right tone and shade of pigment for their skin.  Permanent cosmetics are an exquisite and precise art form, Rachel’s artistic experience ensures she has the edge in giving her clients an attractive look that complements their natural beauty.

“I love waking up every day with my eyebrows! I look more awake and I don’t need to worry about them smudging off when I’m at the gym. Rachel was great, I didn’t feel a thing and the whole process was so relaxed, I’m now thinking about having lip blush treatment and wouldn’t trust anyone else”

“I am always so glad to have this procedure done, as one looks good 24 hours a day, and no matter how much one is kissed! (Not to mention the time you save getting ready in the morning)”

“Before my brow reconstruction I was very self conscious of my own brows. I am naturally very fair so had always needed to tint them but over the years they became very patchy and uneven, growing too low down on my brow bone. I was so excited about the prospect of new brows so I decided on semi permanent treatment. Rachel was brilliant, very professional and explained everything as she went along. I was nervous but I can honestly say I did not feel a thing. I am now so happy with my new eyebrows that I am about to have eye and lip liner applied. I feel so much more confident thanks to this treatment.”

“I had undergone semi permanent make-up to my eyebrows on two occasions and the outcomes were far from satisfactory, I really was becoming very sceptical that I would ever encounter someone who could achieve a good result! Then I came across Rachel! With her artistic/creative background and attention to detail I have been delighted with her work and now wouldn’t even consider anyone else carrying out the procedure. Many SPMU artists may charge a little less but as the saying goes “you get what you pay for” and after two expensive mistakes I have at last found someone I can trust!”
