Hello Again!

Welcome to another Face Clinic London blog post, this time we’re focusing on our clients, or one client in particular to be precise.  Client Journey:

I am a 45-year old male and have been having Botox treatment since the age of 38. I always thought this would be the only “help” I would ever need to keep the signs of ageing at bay. Sadly, age does not discriminate and one reaches the point where one’s lower face begins to appear not as plump and fresh as it used to be, which in my case was probably exacerbated by having hardly any lines on the forehead and around the eyes as a result of having regular Botox treatment.

I decided after my 45^th birthday that it was time to take the next step. Anita talked me through the benefits of (Restylane) Skinboosters® treatment and the procedure itself. In a nutshell, it boosts the skin’s hydration system to leave the skin looking plump and hydrated, which was what I needed.

The initial treatment is made of 3 sessions with 2 to 4 weeks apart and this is probably the most annoying thing about this treatment, if like myself, you are a busy professional.

While the procedure itself is not painful, it can be a bit unpleasant. Let’s be candid. Who likes to get a needle pricked all over their lower face? Of course, Anita will ask you to apply some anaesthetic cream over the area to be treated. Make sure you apply more cream around the mouth as this area can be more tender.

I expected to look like the elephant man after the first procedure. So, I was pleasantly surprised to walk out without any blotches or lumps on my face. Of course, there were some visible needle marks but they subsided within a day. Nor did I get any bruising on my face after each procedure, which was what concerned me most.

I would lie if I said I saw an improvement after the first session but I definitely did after the second and the third ones. I am pleased with the results and will definitely do it again and again…
