Semi Permanent makeup is a type of cosmetic tattooing that uses pharmaceutical grade pigments applied to the skin.  The aim of the treatment is to give a natural make up appearance that perfectly complements your skin tone using the right combination of pigments to enhance your natural features.  The make up can be used to frame the face and give fuller more defined eyebrows.  It can be used on the eyelids as eye liner to enhance the natural eye line.  It is also used on the lips add colour to the lips and on the lip line to achieve fuller more defined lips. She has a fine art background giving her an innate understanding of aesthetics and colour theory. Semi permanent makeup is increasingly being used by both men and women who want to enhance their natural beauty and look great all the time without having to carry around and regularly apply makeup. Semi permanent makeup saves you time by eliminating the need to apply makeup every morning, you can wake up every morning looking fresh faced and have that “get out of bed make up” look. No more smudging after swimming, raining, or after working out at the gym.

What happens during the procedure

Our trained technician will evaluate your skin tone and natural features and select the most suitable pigments for you.  Once the shape, design and colour have all been agreed upon and photographed, the pigment is then carefully implanted into the skin. Depending upon the size of the area, the procedure itself will take about 90 minutes, and a complimentary retouch procedure is usually required 4-6 weeks after the initial treatment.

How Long Does it Last

The treatment is safe and is carried out with the highest hygiene standards.  A topical anaesthetic will be used to numb the area before the procedure. It’s no more painful than having your eyebrows tweezed. The permanent make up will last at least two and as long as seven years, the average is three years.  As the colour will gradually fade, a retouch treatment is recommended every 12 – 18 months to keep your make-up looking as good as new.

Our semi permanent technician will make telephone contact with you before your appointment. A small deposit will be taken at booking. All semi permanent makeup treatments are carried out by Rachel Pitman our highly skilled permanent make up technician.  Prices include a free touch up 4 to 6 weeks after the procedure.
